We handcraft uplifting jewellery for the bold, confident and badass woman. All our pieces are handmade in our UK studio with love and good vibes, from wood & carefully sourced acrylics.
Anisha’s jewellery design draws heavily from the story of her family migrating from India, to East Africa and then to the UK; re-imagining their identity in a foreign land stays with her. Her work is influenced by her hybrid heritage, finding beauty in both worlds. Growing up in London, her aesthetic was tempered not just by her own family’s history, but by the diverse cultures that string together the multicultural melting pot of Britain. Her work finds itself at the juncture of all things urban and ethnic, coupling the traditional influences with a graphic, modern edge.
Anisha uses her grandmother’s collection of jewels as her archive of inspiration, ‘I adore the Indian wedding tradition of passing down jewellery and clothing from mother to daughter. Both my grandmothers collected jewellery throughout their migrant journey to the UK, as gold jewellery was seen as a women’s security, and what beautiful security it is!’ It is this essence of attachment and story telling through an heirloom, that I want my pieces to have, where in years to come a granddaughter will look through her grandmother's old photos and say 'I want to wear that and keep it forever'.
