Become a Member

In 2016, we launched our membership scheme—the ‘inner circle’ of our vibrant creative community—to support and nurture some of the UK’s most talented independent businesses. Our membership is carefully curated, ensuring that those we welcome receive dedicated support, valuable opportunities, and a genuine sense of community to help their businesses thrive.

Running a creative business on your own can be tough, so discovering your community has felt like a real lifeline.
— Charlotte Simmonds, Flowers for Susie

How do we do that?

  • The best market opportunities at unique locations, with an early application window specifically for members and priority access to trade at two events per year (one spring/summer, one autumn/winter).

  • Regular, relevant and live learning content from industry experts in our monthly zoom tutorials and live annual events.

  • Creating a sense of connection and community via our Accountability Squads (small groups linking members together).

  • A private members instagram page.

  • Direct 1:1 support from our small enthusiastic team (as a member you’ll soon get to know us all!). We offer advice and services like website reviews to keep you on track.

  • Access to the back catalogue of our learning library; you can see all of the business tutorials we have run in the past..

  • Discounts on services that we know you’ll need, with organisations we think you’ll love.

  • Exclusive opportunities to promote your products to our email subscribers and Instagram followers.

  • A dedicated page just for your business, on our website, linking directly to your shop and social media. No middle man, just direct promotion.

  • Member emails full of opportunities and useful industry updates.

“As a design journalist I am always on the look out for new talent and the Crafty Fox website is an invaluable resource - a fast route to the best of British makers”
— Charlotte Abrahams, Design Journalist & Curator

Who are our members?

A typical member is a sole-trader or micro-business owner who produces a small range of unique products (no food items).  Items should have an element of ‘handmade’, which may be either handmade by you or produced on a small scale in the UK based on your original designs. We are looking for high quality products, photographed beautifully at an affordable price point with an aesthetic we know our customers will love!

You need to have high quality photos availble for the directory - we often turn down early stage makers who aren’t quite ready for membership.

How do I become a member?

Membership costs just £15 a month, with no minimum contract. There is a one-off £27 joining fee and you can leave and rejoin as suits you and your business without paying this fee again. Both prices are inclusive of VAT.
