I am completely inspired and in awe of the natural world. Animals, nature, countryside, and anything linked with those things are what make me my happiest, most interested, and most eager to keep learning more - which I do with every painting.
I paint my animals using gouache and tiny paint brushes. I work by looking at few images of each animal I’m painting, trying to capture them as naturally as I can. I consider it as almost a documentary / natural history-esque style, going straight to the paper with paint - pencil lines stress me out! I then group them together to create prints, greetings cards and a few other printed items. My postcards each have a single animal ready for you to create your own paper zoo!
My prints and postcards are all printed on recycled paper stock, and cards are on a slightly more luxurious but still eco-friendly paper. Looking after our beautiful planet is important so I try and do my bit. I use biodegradable packaging or no packaging where possible too!
I also have a small range of landscapes which I create using black fine liner pens. Gentle reminders of some of my favourite places.
