My ceramic world is full of whimsical creatures, quirky home décor and unique jewellery pieces. I work mainly with ceramics but always love to explore different methods and materials in my little home studio.
I love creating small scale, functional, contemporary designs and clay is a fascinating medium to work, with almost endless possibilities.
As a former biologist I’m taking inspiration from natural world (with a sprinkle of magic, unexpected cuteness and originality).
Handmade is purely passion made and it’s wonderful that more people everywhere are beginning to embrace things that are made by hand in small quantities. My whimsical creatures are handsculpted from smooth clay and hand painted with my own mixture of coloured underglazes. Covered with food safe, high quality glazes and fired multiple times in a ceramic kiln with temperatures reaching 1220 degrees Celsius.
