Garudio Studiage is a South East London based creative collective set up by Chris Ratcliffe, Anna Walsh, Hannah Havana, and Laura Cave. With individual specialisms in screen printing, jewellery, painting and illustration, we produce a range of witty, fun products, often incorporating our wry sense of humour.
Animals, maps and London all feature heavily, and our jewellery, gifts and homewares are designed and made in the UK. As well as making products, we also work to commission on larger scale projects such as window displays, art exhibitions and events. These vary enormously in scale and context, but our sense of playfulness runs throughout.
The appropriately glamorous and unpronounceable name is derived from the words ‘Garage studio’ which is exactly where the venture started out in Camberwell in 2003, after graduating from MAs at the Royal college of Art and Camberwell College. Working among sand, stray cats and broken car parts, we started making screenprints and jewellery for sale and exhibition, and thus the mighty Garudio Studiage was born! We spent many years in Peckham’s Bussey Building, but now reside in Second Floor Studio’s Deptford Foundry site, and is mainly ran by Chris and Anna.
