Violaine Verry Ceramics

Ceramics/Workshops/Home and Garden

I'm a French designer-maker living in London for the last 30 years. Back in 2017, I casually signed up to a pottery class as a distraction from my pixel-led life as a Design & Art Director, with a view to approach creativity from a different angle. I hadn't anticipated I would get hooked so quickly, and now not a day goes by when I don't think about clay!

My style is influenced by both rustic French pottery, and my interest in contemporary art and architecture, with tendencies towards minimalism – and meticulousness. I find I’m able to draw on my aesthetics developed throughout my years working in visual communications, and greatly enjoy constantly exploring new shapes and techniques.

I also teach regular classes at SkandiHus, as well as my own studio for smaller groups or private, both based in East London. I love sharing my passion with newbies! Please contact me via my website if you're interested in taking up pottery as a hobby.
