Hello! We are Johanna and Harry, the couple behind Variegate.
We are a woodworking company that specialises in homeware and bespoke, handmade furniture. Our design style is a result of our cross-culture relationship. Despite being proudly handcrafted in London, where Harry is from, all our products have Filipino names as a nod to Johanna's heritage. We draw a lot of inspiration from South-East Asian woodwork and meld it with our minimalist style.
Environmental ethics is extremely important to us. All of the products at Variegate are made, packaged, and sent, by the two of us. Our timber is always sourced from UK suppliers who can guarantee its’ sustainability. When we are lucky enough to come across it, we also use salvaged timber from unwanted furniture, housing demolitions and waste from commercial joinery companies. All of our packaging is paper-based and 100% recyclable.
